This print of mine is based on the WW2 Japanese Mitsubishi planes which fly overhead our island of Badu and the other Torres Strait Islands back in the WW2 days.

There are a couple of Japanese planes laying in our Torres Strait waters that were shoot down by the Australian and USA Army. Closes plane laying outside of neighbouring island of Moa Island that was told to me by one of my late uncles who was a deep sea diver that dived for pearl shell and crayfish. He would say that the place laying he witnessed had live grenade inside the plane still.
